Shaniella's Story - Solomon Islands - Secondary
A case study for secondary students about Shaniella, a young woman who lives in the Solomon Islands, who struggled to earn a living without relevant job skills. She joined a vocational school supported by Caritas Australia and it's partners and with their continued support, the school was able to provide students and staff with relevant disaster risk reduction education and access to clean drinking water. Shaniella was able complete her job skills training and is able to earn a living. The case study is accompanied by a series of activities designed to promote deep thinking.Â
